Facebook Insights can show us a lot of different information about how our pages are performing. Specifically post reach and engagement can be very helpful when determining how well your posts are at connecting with your audience.

Post reach shows us how many "views" we got on our posts, meaning how many people saw the post. Post engagement shows how many viewers actually engaged, meaning if they "liked" the post or left a comment. This is an important difference because it doesn't really matter how many people saw the post if they didn't engage. If the customer likes or leaves a comment it means that they are probably going to remember you or take advantage of the promotion if there is one being offered. Engagement also counts "shares" which means the audience has now been expanded by how many friends or followers the person who shared your post has.

Post reach and engagement insights can help to better serve customers by gauging what content connects better with your audience. Also, when engagement goes up the algorithm makes your post more visible. When more people see your posts, you have more opportunity to sell your product or promote your business.
